Safe Space / Zone Program

Numerous - but still only about 15% of - California Community Colleges have a Safe Space / Zone program. While the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) provides Safe Space training materials geared toward K-12 environments, there is no standardized training for higher education. Individual institutions have created and implemented programs that are appropriate and effective for their community and campus culture.
